Geri Essendine is a hugely successful actress who has been 39 for the best part of a decade. Her personality, wit and charm have earned her a legion of devoted fans, young and old, and a coterie of friends, acquaintances and hangers-on.Just as she is about to depart for a tour of Africa, Geri finds herself besieged by a bevy of would-be lovers, not to mention her long-suffering secretary, estranged husband and an obsessed young playwright. Will she ever disentangle herself from their tightening clutches and incessant demands? And deep down, does she really want to…?Tracy-Ann Oberman returns to the stage following her highly acclaimed performance as the first female Shylock in The Merchant of Venice 1936.James Dreyfus (Monty) is well-loved for his TV roles in the sitcoms Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, The Thin Blue Line and as Reverend Roger Jones in Mount Pleasant. Stage credits include Cabaret, The Producers and By Royal Appointment.Lindsay Posner, fresh from his West End triumphs of Noises Off, A View From the Bridge and The Deep Blue Sea, directs.

CAR MAN, Mayflower Theatre, Southampton, Saturday 19 September 2026

Fuelled by heat and desire, the inhabitants are driven into an unstoppable spiral of greed, lust, betrayal and revenge.  Matthew Bourne’s vivid storytelling combines with one of the most passionately dramatic scores ever written. CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD, St Martin in the Fields, London, Monday 7 December 2026 (members only)

We intend to leave Weymouth to start our journey to London at 7.00 am.  We hope to arrive at Trafalgar Square by 11.30 or earlier.  There will be free time until the one-hour long concert begins at 1.00pm at St Martin’s in the Field.

The concert is made up of vibrant celebrations of Christmas around the world, this programme brings together traditional carols from Europe, the Americas and beyond.  From the familiar warmth of Silent Night by Franz Xaver Gruber and O Tannenbaum to the joyful energy of Joy to the World and Go Tell in on the Mountain, performers are St Martins’ Voices with Andrew Earls conducting.

After the concert there will be more free time and the coach will pick us up where we alighted at 4.30pm to take a tour of the Christmas lights, leaving London at around 6.00pm.  Payment needed by 20 October 2026.
