About Dorset Theatre Goers Club

Welcome to the Dorset Theatre Goers Club, a friendly organisation for theatre lovers in the Weymouth, Dorchester, Blandford, Wimborne and Ferndown areas of Dorset.

Our history

The Club was established in 1970 by Graham Jenkins, now our Honorary President, and has been run continuously since then, largely thanks to the dedication of volunteers.

What we do

About once a month, we travel by specially chartered coach from local pick-up points to enjoy live performances across the south of England.

Our trips usually take place on Saturday matinees, with occasional Wednesday or Thursday outings. Performances may include:

·        Plays and musicals

·        The occasional ballet or opera

·        Visits to leading theatres throughout the region

Past destinations have included Bournemouth, Poole, Bath, Brighton, Bristol, Chichester, Exeter, Guildford, London, Newbury, Plymouth, Richmond, Salisbury, Sonning, Southampton, Windsor and Woking.
